Old Catholic Orthodox Catechism

world
Synopsis
There are 35 lessons to this series, which are primarily focused on the orthodox catholic faith. We believe that faith is not necessarily what we know, as much as it is who we know and have trust in, specifically God, the creator of us all. It is important to understand that belief in God should be based upon the faith that was revealed to the Apostles by Jesus Christ himself. It was this faith that was passed on to the believers in the early church, in whom so many gave their lives. So the primary resources we will use are the early church fathers, the scripture, and historical church documents. Sacred tradition plays an important part in the spiritual growth of the believer. So we will cover topics like the bible in light of our faith and religion, what we mean by Canonicity and Inspiration of the Holy Scriptures, the Sacraments, the Church, the Holy Trinity and other areas of the faith. These lessons will not only prepare the student to know the basics of the faith, but are the very ones required to received the sacraments for entry into the church. If you have any questions or are interessted in starting the lessons, please email us at xman1892@yahoo.com and we will get back to you as soon as possible. May God Bless you all!
